Introducing our Braided KEVLAR Jesses, the perfect accessory for your bird of prey that loves to chew on and pick at its equipment. Crafted from high-tech lightweight KEVLAR Fiber, these jesses are both strong and durable, designed to withstand the rigors of falconry.
Our Jesses are designed to allow you to easily slip them through the anklet grommet and keep your raptor secure. The Mews jesses are designed with an opening of ~1.5″ long at the bottom to allow use with most falconry swivels to securely tether your raptor. These jesses come in a standard length and diameter of;
- Micro Jesses are ~4″ long & ~0.1″ (2.5 mm) in diameter
- Micro LONG Jesses are ~6″ long & ~0.1″ (2.5 mm) in diameter
- Hawk\Falcon Jesses are ~7.5″ long & ~0.25″ (5 mm) in diameter
- Loop End Jesses are ~7″ long & ~0.25″ (5mm) in diameter
Making them suitable for use with almost every raptor. The button end of the jesses is made with a very secure Rose sennet knot and reinforced with epoxy to ensure a long reliable life of our equipment.
The Flying Jesses are designed to allow you to slip into your raptor’s anklets easily before taking flight but normally need to be secured in place with a zip-tie to keep them from coming out during the hunt. Our Loop End Jesses on the other hand are designed to be self secured while flying. All of our Flying Jesses feature a smaller opening at the bottom than the mews jesses, usually ~1/4 – 3/8″ long which helps prevent the jesses from snagging on branches during the hunt but also allows you to quickly & safely tether them when needed with a French clip or Coast lock swivel.
